At Shelagh Care Services, our excellent teams of care assistants are all carefully vetted for experience and ability. All our care staffs are DBS checked and are recruited through a robust process that requires up-to-date references and full employment history. All our staffs have undergone mandatory training and receive periodic and regular refresher course training.
On-going training is essential, and we provide in-house, training for all our staff, ensuring our clients receive quality care which is carefully monitored as part of our care services. All our care workers would have already attained or be in the process of attaining an NVQ II in Health and Social Care. We have a strong consistent base of home-care staff that comes from a variety of backgrounds and range from 18+ years. We also have both female and male carers available, many of whom have their own means of transportation.
We undertake regular reviews on the client's care needs and conduct regular supervisions to ensure that the carer workers' level of work is acceptable and that they are supported adequately.
